Short version: HOLD is a practice game. The money is fake. The discipline is yours.

The game

• HOLD is a trading-discipline game. All balances, profits and losses in the game are simulated. Nothing here is real trading, brokerage, investment advice or a recommendation of any kind.
• Playing HOLD does not make you money and does not promise to improve your real-world trading results. It is practice, for free, with fake money.
• One account per person. Scores are computed on our servers; attempts to manipulate scores, automate play or abuse the service can end an account without notice.

Paid things

• Floors are optional paid subscriptions billed through Stripe. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access runs to the end of the paid period. An unpaid floor freezes (read-only) and is never charged again until payment resumes.
• Sponsor-slot auctions: a bid places a temporary authorization on your card. If you are outbid, the authorization is released and nothing is charged. Only the winning bid is charged, at auction close. Bids are public: the firm name and amount of each bid are displayed on the bidding page. Sponsor content must be lawful and relevant to traders; we may decline any sponsor.

The boring but real parts

• The service is provided as-is, without warranties. We may change or discontinue features. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages; our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the last 12 months.
• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the game.
